How can I pay for my skydive?
- We offer 3 ways to pay for your skydive... a) prepay online via our online store, b) call us at (574) 936-7700, or c) pay and book your date/time directly through our website. Online prepay and booking require full payment (and are non-refundable). If you call, we take a $50 non-refundable deposit and you pay the balance when you arrive for your skydive. When calling, we suggest you call on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday. We are very busy on the weekends and can give you the best attention on the phone during weekdays. Feel free to call if you have any questions, and are not ready to book your skydive yet.

When should I arrive ?
- The time you booked is the time you should arrive. There is no need to arrive early (but that is better than late... note: Plymouth Sky Sports is in the Eastern Time Zone).

What will happen once I arrive?
- You will be greeted and checked in. You will complete an assumption of risk agreement, pay any balance due, and attend the tandem skydiving class. Your class will generally start jumping within 1 hour of arrival.

How long should I expect to spend at Plymouth Sky Sports ?
- Your time is important to us, and we strive to service our customers within 3 hours total. The average time our customers were onsite in 2012 was just under 2 1/2 hours, but it may be longer with larger class sizes, on weekends, or due to weather delays. You should plan to spend up to 5 hours at Plymouth Sky Sports.

What type of weather will prevent my skydive?
- Plymouth Sky Sports carefully complies with the United States Parachute Association's Basic Safety Requirements, and the Federal Aviation Administration's Federal Aviation Regulations. We cannot jump if the cloud cover at or below our jump altitude exceeds 50%, if winds aloft (at altitudes where we are flying our parachute) exceed 40 MPH, or if the ground winds exceed 25 MPH. These are maximum values, and sometimes we do not jump for reasons of safety even when the conditions meet the above values. We do not jump in rain, or when ground temperatures are at or below 32ºF.

What should I wear/bring?
- Bring a government-issued picture ID, you may not be permitted to skydive without it. As for clothing, lace-up sneakers are very important (sandals and hard-soled shoes or boots are not appropriate attire for your tandem skydive). Wear comfortable clothes for the day. You may come in shorts and a t-shirt if you wish. We will provide everything else you need, including a jumpsuit, goggles, and gloves/hat if necessary. At jump altitudes temperatures are generally 30º colder than on the ground, so if you chill easily, dress a bit warmer than you normally would.

What are age, weight, and fitness limitations?
- Everyone skydiving must be at least 18 years of age and be able to prove it with a government-issued picture ID. Due to stipulations by the United States Parachute Association and skydiving equipment manufacturers, we cannot skydive with anyone under 18 year old, even with parental consent. There is no upper age limit, and Plymouth Sky Sports has taken people as old as 93 years old. Reasonable fitness is important. Most notably, the tandem skydiver must be able to lift their legs up (and hold them up) for 3-5 seconds to ensure a safe landing. Weight limits are also based upon the maximum weight capacity of the equipment, and Plymouth Sky Sports can generally take anyone under 230lbs and less than 33 on the BMI chart. Those exceeding 230lbs or 33 on the BMI chart can come in to our facility for a personal assessment. As long as we feel we can make the jump safely, and stay within the weight limits of the equipment, we would love to skydive with you.

How many people can jump from the same flight?
- With our normal aircraft, we can take up to two tandem skydivers at a time, but sometimes due to weight and balance limitations of the aircraft (again, safety is our primary concern) only one tandem skydiver jumps per flight. On select weekends throughout the season we use larger aircraft and can take up to 5 tandem skydivers on each flight. Regardless of how many are on each flight, everyone has one of the most amazing experiences of their life.

What about jump altitudes?
- At Plymouth Sky Sports, we make our tandem skydives from between 12,000' and 14,000' above the ground. This allows up to one minute of freefall time and up to 5 minutes of parachute ride back to the landing area. You will be provided an altimeter to wear, so you will know we are always honest about our jump altitudes. If we cannot jump from at least 9,000' (due to weather or FAA/ATC limitations), we will give you the option to jump or reschedule.

How experienced is Plymouth Sky Sports?
- Our team is comprised of extremely experienced professional skydivers and pilots. Our 4 full-time instructors share over 35,000 jumps and over 60 years experience. We also use part-time instructors when necessary, and mandate a minimum of 1000 jumps experience (twice the minimum experience for a USPA Tandem Skydiving Instructor). You will be in the best hands possible for your skydive!

Will you train me to skydive solo?
- Of course! We have two methods for you to enter our STP (Solo Training Program). The suggested (and most popular path requires two tandem skydives prior to entering the STP. The tandem skydives are part of the training program, and satisfactory completion of certain objectives are required to advance. Once you advance from tandem to STP, you will have to complete an approximately 6-hour ground school, and then begin jumping with your own parachute (which we provide). Once in STP, you will have an instructor with you for 18 jumps, then you may jump without direct supervision. If you absolutely do not want to jump tandem, we also have an AFF start curriculum which involves 3 jumps with two instructors (but no tandem jumps). The AFF start is considerably more expensive and risky, and time consuming than the tandem progression. Once in STP, you will have an instructor with you for 17 jumps, then you may jump without direct supervision. 25 jumps total are required for a USPA skydiving license. Check out our Learn to Skydive page for more information.
