Tandem Skydiving

The safest and most popular way to experience skydiving. No experience is necessary, attend a 25 minute class and jump with one of our professional skydiving instructors. Plymouth Sky Sports is one of the few places in the country where students get to deploy their own parachute and help fly and land it on the very first jump. Your first skydive will likely be the most amazing thing you will ever do. Make sure you get it on video to preserve and re-live the intense rush.

Learn to Skydive

Many people are so moved by the tandem experience, the logical next step is to transition into our Solo Training Program (STP) and learn to skydive. We offer the best skydiving education available anywhere. Each jump is more fun than the last, and you will learn all the skills necessary to skydive alone or in groups. We will take you all the way to your USPA skydiving license and beyond. Once you have your license, you can skydive almost anywhere in the world.

Group Skydiving

Once you get your license, you will want to start jumping with your new friends! We help organize and promote group jumps, and always have coaches and instructors on hand to help you get the most out of your skydiving license. Plymouth Sky Sports also has continuing education classes for experienced jumpers, advanced skill training, and friendly competitions to test your new skills and earn free jumps.

Demo Jumps

Plymouth Sky Sports offers demonstration jumps at public venues. With multiple PRO-rated demonstration jumpers on our team, we can handle any venue and provide a show-stopping performance. We often jump with flags and/or smoke, and also carry items into events for our customers (i.e. carrying in a game ball). We are one of the few companies in the country that does tandem demonstration jumps.

About Us

In the Beginning:

After working for some of the best skydiving centers in the world for years, a group of professionals set out to improve the skydiving experience. In 2010, Plymouth Sky Sports was founded, and in March of 2011, we opened our doors so people can experience the best that skydiving has to offer. Plymouth Sky Sports is also affiliated with Plymouth Flight Services, which offers Flight Instruction, Aircraft Rental, Aircraft Relocation, Aircraft Charter and Touring, Banner towing, and Aerial Photography and Videography.

Where we're going:

With two full seasons in the books, Plymouth Sky Sports is preparing for another exciting season. At Plymouth Sky Sports, we love what we do and it shows! Our 4 full time instructors share nearly 40,000 jumps and 60 years in the sport, including over 9,000 tandem skydives. Our team is so experienced and well rated, we train prospective instructors for dropzones worldwide.

Team Bio:

personel bio picJeff Church - Manifest: Jeff started jumping in 2005 and has made 93 skydives. Jeff runs the manifest/office at Plymouth Sky Sports. Jeff answers most of the phone calls, so you will likely talk to him if you call. He is one of the first people you will meet when you arrive, and will help you check-in. Jeff also does a lot of work behind the scenes, and is integral to the operation of the skydiving center. He can help you with any questions about skydiving.

personel bio picJenny Verner - Videographer/Instructor/Rigger: Jenny started jumping in 1996 and has nearly 10,000 skydives. She is an AFF instructor, Coach, and FAA Master Parachute Rigger. When not shooting videos, you will see Jenny working steadily to keep our equipment in tip-top shape. Jenny also runs Rock Sky Market, which is our gear store and concessions on site. When not skydiving Jenny enjoys reading the Bible and spending time with God. She has been married to Steve for 9 years.

personel bio picSteve Verner - Videographer/Instructor/Examiner: Steve started jumping in 1989 and has over 16,000 skydives. He is an AFF Instructor, Tandem Instructor, Coach, and Instructor/Examiner. Steve primarily shoots videos, but also does tandem instruction and solo instruction. Steve has been married to Jenny for 9 years, and together they operate the gear store and video operations. Steve particularly enjoys teaching, and is often away training instructors for other skydiving centers.

personel bio picJosh Nesper - Pilot: Josh is our full-time pilot and there is noone else we would rather have keeping us safe on the climb to altitude. He started flying in 2002, and is nearing 1000 hours of flight time. He is a certificated Commercial Pilot and CFII (Certificated Instrument Flight Instructor). Josh is also the chief instructor for our flight school, Plymouth Flight Services. Josh really enjoys flying and teaching. When not flying, he enjoys boating, water skiing, and jet-skiing.

personel bio picCheyenne Feliz - Packer: Cheyenne has made two tandem skydives, and enjoys the dropzone environment. You will find her on the packing mat at the dropzone, busily packing tandems, student canopies, and canopies for experienced jumpers. Cheyenne enjoys running, reading and crafts. She make some amazing garments and jewelry out of items you would never think would amount to anything. Cheyenne is always ready to help out and we are lucky to have her working with us.

personel bio picJoy Rich - Packer: Joy has made one tandem skydive, and is ready for her second. She will be entering the STP program in 2013 to get her skydiving license. Joy packs parachutes for a living, packing tandems, student canopies, and canopies for experienced jumpers. Joy also helps out with video editing and anything else that needs to be done. Joy is a local resident, growing up in Plymouth. Joy enjoys running and spending time with her family and friends.

personel bio picWil Castao - Videographer/Instructor/Rigger: Wil has been skydiving since 1999 and has over 5,000 skydives. He has traveled extensively for the pursuit of skydiving. WIl is an AFF Instructor, Tandem Instructor, Coach, and Senior Parachute Rigger. Wil primarily does tandem and STP jumps. Wil especially enjoys teaching, passing great information on to the next generation of skydivers. He also enjoys reading, and spending time with his friends.

personel bio picAnthony Haberman - Grounds: Anthony started skydiving in 2012, and already has over 60 jumps. While Anthony was learning, he was so helpful that we decided to bring him onto the team. Anthony helps to keep the dropzone clean and tidy. He also helps to pickup students and people who land in our more remote landing areas. Anthony is currently a college student, studying law enforcement and EMT in South Bend and Fort Wayne. Anthony is at the dropzone almost every weekend.

personel bio picTroy Church - General Manager: Troy has been skydiving since 1999, and has over 7,000 skydives. He is an AFF Instructor, Tandem Instructor, Coach, and Senior Parachute Rigger. Troy oversees the operation and fills in where needed. You will often see him doing tandems and STP jumps. Troy is also a pilot, so you may see him flying from time to time. He enjoys computer stuff, and working at the dropzone.

personel bio picNutmeg: While not a human team member, Nutmeg is no less a part of the team. Nutmeg greets customers when they enter the dropzone, and then again when they land. She loves people and is very good around children. She enjoys hunting, and has eliminated most of the rodents and critters from the airport property. She doesn't like most other animals, so please don't bring your pets to meet her.
